Take a step back in time at Vermilionville, a heritage and folklife park that features six homes restored in the tradition of the Cajun/Creole heritage. The village is located on the shores of the Bayou Vermilion, across the way from the Lafayette Regional AIrport, near Lil' Woods Park. Visitors will hear the history of the area told to them by costumed interpreters, who also demonstrate the cooking and crafts of the era.
