Description:

The Alexandre Mouton House Museum was originally built in the early 1800s by the founder of Lafayette, Jean Mouton. The museum is located in downtown, north of the university. The museum, named after the 12th governor of the city, has been restored and is a shining example of the culture of the 1850s.

Open Tues. - Sat. 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Sun. 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
